Maybe Karma does exist...Cancellation guy comes through!

Girls, I had a great date!!!

Yes, I can't believe it myself...maybe I shouldn't get too excited, but this was fun.  Cancellation guy, aka Bill, and I have tried to coordinate our schedules before to no avail.  He had this and I had that and there was always work.  I decided I would call him while I was on vacation.  Yes, I picked up the phone and dialed his number...and got his voicemail.  No problem!  I left a great message and he texted a reply to rendezvous at our previously arranged spot when I got back. We confirmed a few hours prior to our meeting and for some reason I wasn't my crazy I can't do this agoraphobic self.  I was less stressed, did slightly less primping, and thought maybe he should worry about impressing me for once.
I arrived a few minutes early and when he walked in he came over, gave me big hug and said it was so nice to finally meet me.  No awkward moment!  We sat in the bar area ordered a martini and appetizers and talked like crazy with no rhyme or reason to our conversation.  It just jumped all over the place and we never did talk about one thing for long.  I didn't get his job resume or find out All about his family...hell I don't know a lot, but it was good.  We had a lot in common and also so much to chat about.
We each only had one drink and than sat chatting over our waters before our conversation steered towards cars.  I talked about my old BMW and he told me about bringing his to the track to race and then asked if I wanted to go for a drive.   I know what you are thinking, but after he helped me into my coat and opened the restaurant doors he offered me his keys.  Yep, he wanted me to drive his souped up 6 speed BMW....and it was awesome!!!  We, meaning I, drove around the city and had a blast!  It is a fantastic car and he was totally impressed with my skills.  He mentioned how glad he was that he let me drive and how much more he was enjoying the night.  When I pulled over to switch drivers he pulled me over for a great kiss!  Wow, this really was going well and the music totally appropriate.  When Sinatra came on and we were kissing next to his car and an abandoned building I felt like we should have been in a 1940's movie...so good!!

When we went our separate ways we hadn't made plans, nor did he text or email me like the others to tell me how great our night was....should I be worried?  In the morning still radio silence, nothing...are you kidding me?  He did come through later in the day though, and even though I hate the text message, we texted and made plans for Monday. Yeah!!!

I love Karma,
xoxo, the 30-something

P.S.  He agreed that I had given bad phone when we first talked.....ugh!
