two beer limit?

I think I may need to limit my alcohol consumption. Beer goggles in full effect on date number two. I thought he was "cute" and "cool" and "fun," but I met him for coffee today and realized that I am a wild child compared to him. hmph. I am now wired on caffeine at 12pm and have grown the balls to text a potential "match" and responded to another one. Screw the emails, I'll give you my number and we can take it from there.

Winks....

Why do men send winks? Why not just write something? Why do men without pictures send winks? Seriously, why would I respond? Why do men send winks, with no picture and live in a different state send a wink? I just don't get it!

So date numero uno was interesting. We went to a mexican chain restaurant and just had drinks, just drinks? what the eff, a girl's gotta eat. Anyways the convo was fine, but he did manage to spill his drink on me and ask me all the questions I really didn't feel like answering, such as "what am I looking for in a man? The night promptly ended around 11pm where he proceeded to try and stick his tongue down my throat. I think the only reason that I allowed his tongue to slide down my throat was the fact that I had two margaritas and NOTHING to eat.

The bar hasn't been set to high, so anything in the future can only get better, right?

let the dating begin!

Although I do find myself constantly on match, I have to say that it is because all of the action immediately comes through my blackberry which notifies me instantly. That being said, match is somewhat overwhelming. At first I was giving away too many winks and responding to men that I just really am not interested in. Instead of logging on to match every time I get a wink or an email, I screen the guys through my email by looking at their picture. I know that there is more to them than their profile pics, but come on I need a system to weed out the ones I'm just not interested in.

So I have two "dates" set up. The first is with a guy that I'm not really interested in, he was just really persuasive, works right around the corner from me, and we're only grabbing a drink after work. I'm mean the more practice I can get "dating" the better. The second date is this weekend with a guy that I am actually interested in. We exchanged too many emails the first day that I joined and now that we have a time and date set up, I feel as though I have lost interest and don't really know what to say. (note to self: don't respond so quickly, spread the responses out over the week) Anyways I haven't checked my account yet this morning and gotta scope the action from last night. ha ha
